Before that, he served as leading fund resource development officer for regionally and nationally prominent agencies, conducting fundraising campaigns in major metropolitan areas nationwide. During that time, Mr. Evans developed an extensive and valued network of relationships among corporate leaders and philanthropic individuals across the country.
Regarded as an authority on campaign strategy, Mr. Evans is known for his creative campaign plans that have enabled clients to reach development goals — even in the most challenging circumstances. Based on his wide experience, he is highly capable of analyzing major choices facing nonprofits, ranging from building projects to board development. He is also an expert hand at guiding the strategic planning process. Mr. Evans takes a full-service approach to organizational growth that encompasses both fund and leadership development, along with nonprofit business planning, management services, and communications. He is driven by a love of people and enormous respect for the work of nonprofits. Insatiably curious, he seeks to understand the strengths and challenges of each individual organization, in order to help them excel.
Mr. Evans writes a regular column for several blogs and appears frequently in prominent media outlets. He is a board member of the Giving Institute and serves on the editorial review board of Giving USA, the leading annual study of American philanthropy. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Boston University.
In his spare time, Mr. Evans loves ballroom dancing, hitting the tennis court, and spending time with his grandchildren.
